streets and highways in the area includes: Birmingham Interstate 20/59 The southbound lanes of this traffic artery in downtown
Birmingham from near Carraway Boulevard to near 17th Street North are being
resurfaced through early August. Because of traffic volume, work will be done at
night. A single lane should be closed on this schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8
p.m.-5 a.m.; Friday and Saturday, 9 p.m.-9 a.m.; and Sunday, 8 p.m.-5 a.m. Stouts Road A three-block section of this narrow street near 21st Avenue
North on Birmingham's northside will be widened and have new curbs and gutters
added in a project expected to last until the end of the year.
